this plate is announced in the bibliographie de la france of september 1, 1832: "n°. 594 -- la caricature (journal), [. . . ] -- analysis of thought. First drawing of the association announced in the newspaper la caricature. Lithograph print by becquet, in paris. In paris, at aubert, gallery véro-dodat. " it was published in the issue of “the moral, religious, literary and scenic caricature” of august 30, 1832. The plates “of the association” are thus announced there: “we had promised, to the members of the association for the freedom of the press, to give them each month a drawing, the value of which was much higher than the contribution of each associate.
