View of the unfinished site of the trevi fountain of the aqua virgine, an aqueduct constructed in 19 bce, the convento maddalena (1 in image), and the palazzo san martino (2 in image). The terminal point of the (modern) acqua vergine, the revived aqua virgo, would become the site of the trevi fountain. The fountain was designed by nicola salvi but finished by pietro bracci after salvi's death in 1751. Date: 1739.
