Page border with four separate strips, with an anthemion-frieze and ornaments; the upper section, placed between the side borders, represents an anthemion-frieze with a roman medaillon at centre; the side strips are filled with candelabra-motives and a roman medaillon at top, and sartyrs below; the lower border contains thistle-motives and a cat's head at r; in this combination (but side borders switched in place) first used in ciryllus alexandrinus, in evangelium ioannis commentaria. . , georgio trapeziontino interprete. . , basel, a.
