iconographic description:
a doctor with the head of a heron stands, clyster in hand. He is dressed in a frock coat and vials protrude from his pocket. Excerpt from peines de coeur d'une chat anglaise, by h de balzac (in private and public life of animals, j. Hetzel librarian-publisher, 1867): "my mistress sent for a doctor, who was leaving edinburgh after having studied for a long time in paris. He promised my mistress to cure me the very next day, after having recognized my illness. He indeed returned, and left in his pocket an instrument of parisian manufacture. I had a sort of fright when i saw a white metal barrel ending in a tapered tube. At the sight of this mechanism, which the doctor played with satisfaction, their graces blushed, became angry and said very beautiful things about the dignity of the english people.
