image in two superimposed panels. The first, exterior, panel features a man seen from the front, dressed in pants, a jacket, a scarf, a coat and a cap, and carrying a bag. He stands in front of the door of the house and is about to enter to surprise his wife who does not expect him to return. The second part reveals the interior of the house, where the wife is in the middle of an act of adultery with another man: the two are sitting on a sofa.
