detail of the tree of jesse. Large corner post consisting of numerous sculpted figures. Tree trunk whose branches end in flower calyxes from which emerge twelve kings of judah holding their scepter. At the top, under a canopy with a gothic pinnacle, the virgin appears. Historical commentary:
today, the jesse tree is kept at the carnavalet museum in the henri iv courtyard.
