Isabella ann hutchison married the danish consul in london, jens wolff, in 1792. She is posed as the erythraean sibyl from the sistine chapel ceiling, studying a book of engravings of the sistine chapel that is open at the delphic sibyl. She is seated facing left, three-quarter length, face in profile, resting her head in her right hand; wearing a white satin high-waisted dress with long full sleeves and a high neck with small lace ruffle at wrists and neck; a matching turban, with her hair falling over her right shoulder; a small jeweled pin at her neck and gold bracelet on her left wrist; full blown pink rose under her left breast; and silk shawl.
