'perpetual motion' longcase clock, dated about 1765, made in london, by james cox and john joseph merlin, with later modifications by thomas weeks, the case is solid and veneered mahogany with gilded bronze mounts, and glass panels on four sides. Victoria and albert museum, london, museum item number w. 20-1961.
