"the grateful winegrower", engraving by ruhière reproducing the painting of the same name presented by eugénie henry (future eugénie latil) at the salon of 1839 (number 1007 of the booklet). Published in "le journal des artistes", 13th year, 1st vol. No. 12, march 24, 1839. Elsewhere in the same issue (h. "exhibition of 1839 (4th article)", p. 187, here is what the newspaper's artistic critic says about the painting:
"mademoiselle henry had a nice idea in her grateful winemaker; imagine a young peasant who has already begun to lose his balance, he has done so much honor to his wine; before drinking the last glass, he presents it to the statue of the virgin as a sign of thanks.
