The title page and the 6 plates are signed e. Devéria and are lithographed in colors and enhanced with watercolor. - green paper publisher's cardboard on which the title page is reproduced in black
there are several editions of this work which include at least the six costume plates (in height) numbered from 1 to 6 and, depending on the case, two or three plates (in width) unnumbered. The first print entitled "picturesque costumes of the ossau valley" and lithographed by e. Vignancour is dated 1844; the print in question here is later, without date. We note several differences between the different prints: the last two plates in particular stand out (see labarère, bibliographie pyrénéesiste, 486)
in this edition, the titles are in thin roman capitals. The pl. 6 entitled "guide aux eaux-bonnes" bears the mentions "chez a. Bassy, pau" and "lith. De e. Vignancour," unlike the other plates which bear the mention "edited and lith. By a. Bassy, in pau"
