Ivan Enchev-Vidyu Bulgarian Folk Crosses 257, 19 April 1917

257. A white limestone cross in the "urummezar" cemetery southeast of the village of pepelina on the left bank of the cherni lom river, rusensko. A female cross with a rounded upper wing and a zigzag] ornament. Below it is the crest of a sokaya - eyes, eyebrows, nose and mouth - engraved; in the middle a carved four-winged cross and below it an engraved frieze (belt). Semi-destroyed, overgrown with lichens and mosses. Compared with other dated [monuments], it should be attributed to the 18th century. Dimensions: 85x42x11 cm. Sketched on 19. Iv. 1917. (vol. 14, obr. 25. ). Date: 19 April 1917.
