PontDyleHeverleeFin17èmeSiècle2, Adrien de Montigny

Project drawn up on may 4, 1596 by pierre lepoivre (architect) for duke charles de croÿ, for the crossing of the dyle (which had a width of 48. 5 feet at this location, or approximately 13. 8 m). This could be a first bridge project for the cambrug (or cambrughe in heverle, because there is another, including a more important bridge, of stone and brick with 2 wooden drawbridges. Note the curious system of counterweights and the armorial portal. Date: fin XVIe ou début XVIIe siècle.
