Grunewald hunting lodge from the southeast, Wilhelm Barth, circa 1832

The hunting lodge courtyard paved with cats' heads, with individual lawns. The realistic depiction also shows plaster and paint damage and construction cracks, as well as the roof repairs carried out in 1825 with new bat dormers, the paving along the eaves and the drainage channel from the well to the lake. The small window panes on the second floor, divided by lead bars, are clearly shown. The door on the east side is no longer there. The picture shows the second well in the eastern part, which existed until the 20th century. The painter's location was in the extreme southeast corner. Object Type: gouache paint, drawing.
