The paddle steamer Skirner in the port of Copenhagen., Carl Bille, circa 1848

The experts at bruun rasmussen saw this as possibly the launch of the skirner in 1847. It is, however really not a typical launch scene. The vessel seems fully equipped, and that did not happen until she joined the danish navy in 1848, which seems a more probable date. Object Type: painting. Date: circa 1848. Dimensions: height: 64 cm (25.1 in); width: 98 cm (38.5 in). Medium: oil on canvas. Collection: Unknown. Carl Bille (tilskrevet) - Dampskibet Skirner i Københavns Havn
