On the left, the man with the head of an old shepherd dog bows and grabs the young girl's hand. He has a cane with a pommel under his arm, a sign of his age and certainly of his fortune. The young girl has the face of a lamb and seems sickly. Her mother, behind her, has the head of a wolf and is rubbing her hands.
