Lille – rue faidherbe (towards the train station). Photo probably taken from the top of the théâtre de lille, which burned down in 1903. The part of the street going up to rue des ponts de comines was destroyed in 1914 during the siege of lille. The haussmann buildings in the background have been preserved. Date: circa 1905.
