description:
piriform vase with small neck and wide base. Painted decoration of lotus flowers on the body. Restoration or embellishment from the beginning of the 20th century with gold lacquer at the neck. Once dry, the cover is lightly scraped at the place to receive the decoration. The outlines of the patterns are then incised into the paste left bare. A slip rich in iron oxide is brushed into the heart of the incised areas. A strip of bare dough, without covering, surrounds each dark pattern which stands out against the satin cream background.
