Frederikke Brun 1818, Christoffer Wilhelm Eckersberg

Friederike brun, née münter 1765 in gräfentonna near gotha. The painting (46x39 cm) was made around 1822 by cweckersberg. Friederike brun married the merchant constantin brun in 1782. After the sophienholm estate in denmark was rebuilt, it became a well-known cultural center for nobles, merchants, poets, composers and scientists. Prince christian (later king of denmark) and his wife were also at the sophienholm estate in 1822, when the painting was made.
