The hansine was built in svendborg in 1878 by peter troensegaard of øxenbjerg (yard no. 42). She was built for a shipping company led by h. P. Hansen of thurø, and was registered in svendborg. By 1881 captain h. L. Hansen owned 1/10 of the shares, and h. P. Hansen owned the rest. By 1893, anne j. Hansen (widow of h. P. Hansen) and h. L. Hansen each owned half of the shares.
