Satire: two politicians out of office sit shivering in a squalid room, that on the left writing a paper entitled 'abusing administration', with other similar papers scattered at their feet, while their landlady presents a unpaid bill for their lodging; a tattered print pinned to the wall behind, depicting an anchor inscribed 'hope'. 2 september 1784 hand-coloured mezzotint.
