Dear, nice little black boy! you wrote me a delightful little letter! thank you very much for it! unfortunately you had to wait a while for a reply, because i had a lot of work at home because my people were in the field and couldn't write. It's good that your trip went well and i suspected in advance that the monkey's haircut would go bad. Big hansl was a nice guy; i knew that he would not turn down my request to look after you. Of all 15 boys, only three wrote to me: you, the big, good hansl and halabala, or rather his mother. The last letter made me very happy. Otto has long since forgotten ehenbichl, tyrol and all the lovely days here; he has not been heard from again. It is not nice of otto that he did not even write to the wörle family and thank them again for all the good things during the holiday weeks. I admit that i expected more decency from otto! i am not personally angry with him; he is just a bit careless, but he should have written to mrs. Wörle! mr. Wörle has long since returned to ehenbichl; he could not visit your dear parents in vienna because he did not have the time; and mr. Wörle was a stranger in the big. Date: 24 September 1934.
