iconographic description:
three protagonists with animal heads confront each other. In the center, two rooster-headed officers stand face to face, clenching their fists; a sign of an imminent fight. One wears his cocked hat on his head while the other seems to have placed it on the ground. On the far left of the scene, a hen-headed woman wearing a veil stands back, afraid. Extract from métamorphoses du jour (editions gustave havard libraire, paris, 1854): "they were both born on the banks of the thames, this country of fog and the rich mylord, love, you lose troy! said the fabulist, and many others too: i will make a list"
