The “monument to denis-auguste-marie raffet” by emmanuel frémiet – composed of a column surmounted by the stone bust of auguste raffet and adorned with a representation of the drum engraved in 1832 by raffet in “le réveil” – was dismantled during the war and the bronze melted down to recover the metal under the law of october 11, 1941 on the removal of statues and public monuments made of copper alloys in view of their melting.
