William Glackens AAA munswilp 8770, 1915

From the:archives of american art, smithsonian institution (the aaa has a larger version on their website, but it has watermarks all over the image). Description: identification on verso (typewritten): william j. Glackens (1870-1938). Starting as an illustrator for newspapers and magazines, glackens found in his immediate world subjects for his painting. As a member of "the eight", he was much admired by his contemporaries for his powers of observation and his draughtsmanship. Forms part of: 1913 armory show, 50th anniversary exhibition records, 1962-1963 rights statement: u. S. Public domain. Date: 1915.
