From the sloane 5219 album 'vischen vogelen, dieren, vruchten 1637'. Hans sloane acquired a group of '1637' albums (from the collection of pieter spiering, d. 1652) in the netherlands in 1724. This is a study drawing for print no. 1 in a series of twelve engravings with the inscription: "marcus gerardus inv. Henricus hondius excud. 1610. Object Type: Drawing, Drawings.
