"chronicle of johann michael brandstetter (musketeer, res. Inf. Regt. 120, 1st company, wound badge and frontline combat cross of honour)": johann m. Brandstetter (father of hans) was born on march 6, 1899 in hornberg a. Jagst. He was called up on may 7, 1918 and was sent to the western front (hermann line) in october 1918. After being wounded by a grenade splinter and a subsequent stay in a hospital, he was discharged from military service in 1919. Date: 1918. Kriegschronik 1918, item 1
