Next to the franklin buildings are three dwelling-houses of ordinary size, finely relieved by the spacious building of the 'american bible society. '" next is a vacant lot and "the magnificent structure, just finished,…called 'clinton hall'" on the corner of beekman street. The spire belongs to the brick church, also on beekman street.
