The House of Prince Gagarin on Novinsky Boulevard in Moscow, Aleksandr Lozhkin, 1916

The house depicted on the aquarelle, was built in 1817 by the architect joseph bové. It belonged to the princely family gagarin, the last owner of the mansion before the nationalization was viktor nikolaevich gagarin. At the soviet time the house was used by the book chamber of the ussr, in 1941 the building was destroyed during an air raid of the german airforce. Date: 1916.
