Portrait of an elderly lady, brita sneckenberg, wearing a loose fitting white dok, white bodice and an untied coat in light blue. Profiled wooden frame, painted in black and gold, 5 cm wide. The portrait, which comes from biby fideikommiss and was painted by olof arenius in the early 18th century. Brita was the daughter of jacob schnack, noble sneckenberg, and carin eriksdotter danckwardt. Married in 1671 to the miner at salberget johan persson köhn, their daughter catharina köhnman married land rent master herman wallrave. Their daughter anna helena wallrave married chancellor gustaf celsing (d. Ä). Registered in the swedish portrait archive, spa 1925:1186. Date: between 1720 and 1737. Place of creation: Stockholm, Sverige. Dimensions: height: 850 mm (33.46 in); width: 680 mm (26.77 in). Collection: Sörmland Museum.
