Tennō Kazan, Yoshitoshi, 20 December 1890

"tsuki hyakushi" (one hundred aspects of the moon) - kazan temple moon, by yoshitoshi tsukioka (taiso) (1839-1892), depicting kazan who became the emperor of japan (tennō) at the age of 17 and was tricked to abdicate his throne and retired to a temple. Woodblock print (format:oban tate-e, 25 cm x 37 cm), published by akiyama buemon. Date: 20 December 1890.
