This print, drawn by joris hoefnagel (1542-1600), comes from the "théâtre des cités du monde. . . ", published around 1575 by georg braun (1541-1622) and frans hogenberg (1535-1590). It represents the city of lyon, drawing heavily on the scenographic plan produced around 1550, although with fewer details and some differences. Process: etching enhanced with gouache.
