In the center, saint bruno of cologne leaves the city of paris accompanied by his first six companions. The saint dresses as a canon, carries a book under his right hand and a staff in his left. He is walking and turns his head back. Next to him two figures merge in a farewell embrace, while two are more advanced in the area on the right of the composition, while to the left two more with a tunic, mantle and staff begin the journey.
