Johannes Jensius (1671-1755), Philippus Vilaen, 1719

Johannes jensius (1671-1755) dutch linguist, born in the hague in 1671, died in the hague on 14 march 1755. Studied at leiden university and received a gold medal from that university for reciting a latin poem about the revolution in england. He was pro-rector of the latin school in the hague (1697), rector of the illustrious school in dordrecht (1700) and professor and rector of the erasmian school in rotterdam (1719). Date: 1719.
