Ross house, James Wells Champney, 1875

The john ross house, built by john mcdonald at the beginning of the 19th century, and later habited by his grandson principal chief john ross, of the cherokee nation, prior to the trail of tears. Located in rossville, this is among the oldest structures still standing in western georgia. Date: 1875.
