This work, called 'chariot of parnassus', is part of a group of eight large canvases of equal size that represent the triumphal chariots that paraded through the city of seville in 1747 during the mask that the workers of the royal tobacco factory of seville celebrated on the occasion of the accession to the spanish throne of ferdinand vi and his wife, queen barbara of braganza.
