Odin holding Gungnir atop Sleipnir by Frølich, Lorenz Frølich, published 1895
Odin rides atop the horse sleipnir (here depicted with four legs rather than his characteristic eight), holding his spear gungnir. Odin is presumably riding to find information about his son baldr's bad dreams, and the image appears on the title page of this translation of baldrs draumar. Date: published 1895.
