Dimitrie paciurea - ștefan luchian, bronze 44. 5 cm, signed lower right side: d. Paciurea. The portrait was exhibited for the first time at the artistic youth exhibition in 1908. The work was commissioned by virgil cioflec, his former colleague from the matei basarab high school. Cioflec was luchian's friend and administrator, and he was deeply dissatisfied with the image that oscar spaethe made of stefan luchian. In 1911, two bronzes of the work were cast, at the artistic foundry v. V. Rășcanu & comp. The original cast was given by virgil cioflec to stefan luchian. In 1971, the plaster was in the collection of the painter laura cocea, luchian's niece. One of the bronzes cast in 1911 was donated by cioflec to the cioflec art gallery, after which it entered the heritage of the cluj art museum (inventory no. Ma 748/pc52). The second bronze was transferred in 1951 by the art museum of the socialist republic of romania to the brașov art museum. Following this variant, five plaster casts were cast in 1951, which were in 1971, one at the bacău art museum, one at the iasi art museum (inventory no. 31), one at the ploiesti art museum (inventory no. 285) and two at the republic art museum (inventory no. 1080/7726 and 854/7500, the latter being loaned to the mihail eminescu theater in botoșani). In 1959, two more copies were cast in bronze at the plastic fund combine, which went, one to the constanța art museum and the other to the galati art museum.
