Portrait depicting gustaf fredrik af wirsén (1779-1828). Signed and dated on the clock face: "wäström pinx 1805". Oil on lined canvas, 117 x 88 cm. Created by johan gustaf wäström (1750-1807). The letter that wirsén holds in his hand reads "stockholm 1805. C'est le portrait de son pere, c'est lui qui fait par bonheur dieu! qu’il est [. . ] d’être mère quand on posèd un bon coeur. Wilhelmine". On the table clock is written "dibutade" (actually butades) who was a greek sculptor in clay from the 6th century bc. Below the clock are some letters, one of which is addressed to stralsund. Registered in the swedish portrait archive, spa 1924:1447. Provenance: stubbarps manor, brunnby parish, skåne county. Date: 1 January 1805.
