Mercator by Wright stretching, Edward Wright

Showing how edward wright calculated the mercator parallels. On an equirectangular projection calculate the parallel scale factor for one strip at mid height and use this value to widen the strip. Wright actually used 540 strips (1599) and later 5400 strips (1610) to obtain highly accurate results.
