1928 circa Friedrich Busack Aquarell "Atelier an der Podbi", Schenkung der Sparkasse Hannover an das Sprengel Museum Hannover
The watercolor "artist's studio on the podbi" was donated by the sparkasse hannover to the sprengel museum hannover and painted by friedrich busack in the style of new objectivity in 1928. It is one of the few watercolors by the artist who died young. The residential building shown in the foreground was the home of gerhard stoffert's family, who spent his early years there. The family owned the nursery in the background and sold mainly to the bahlsen biscuit factory, which had its headquarters there for a few years in a large new building before the concrete building was demolished. The "lister blick" development area was later built on the site shown in the watercolor. The name of the watercolor "atelier on the podbi" refers less to the house shown than to the artist's studios in the liststadt from where the view was captured in paintings.
