Albert besnard, portrait of francis magnard (1837-1894), collection of the petit palais (paris), gift of mrs. Francis magnard, née olympe broye, in 1907 (his second wife). Francis magnard was a journalist at le gaulois, then editor-in-chief of le figaro, of which he was a shareholder. He is the father of the composer albéric magnard (1865-1914). Date: Fin XIXe siècle.
