Peter paul rubens, the gathering of the manna, modello, ca. 1626, part of the tapestry cycle triumph of the eucharist, mutilated by enlarging and partial overpainting, probably as early as in the 17th century. The additions shown here were removed in 1938, part of the overpainting is still visible and part of the original paint has been rubbed off. Presented to the los angeles county museum of art by armand and frances hammer in 1969. Date: 31 December 1626.
