Photographic postcard of mathilde felixovna kschessinskaya (1872-1971), soloist to his imperial majesty and prima ballerina of the st. Petersburg imperial theatres. She is costumed as princess aspicia in the under-water scene from the 1862 ballet the pharaoh's daughter, created by the choreographer marius petipa (1811-1910) and the composer cesare pugni (1803-1870). Date: between 1898 and 1900.
