Erlangen Kriegerdenkmal Martin-Luther-Platz 002, 1903 (gelaufen)

War memorial 1870/71 on martin luther square in erlangen. In 1890, the monument designed by friedrich wanderer was erected on what was then the old town holzmarkt, now martin luther square. The originally much larger monument with a base and bronze parts (lenz art foundry) was removed from the square in 1952. The name plate was taken to the honorary cemetery. The lion was re-erected in the 1970s, first in the altstadtmarkt shopping arcade and finally again on martin luther square. Date: 1903 (gelaufen).
