Eridge Castle - engraving (1a), William Westall, 1835

Engraving by william westall ara of a drawing by thomas henwood of the former eridge castle, demolished 1838. It was designed by william wyatt and built by the 2nd earl of abergavenny (before the marquesses of abergavenny were created). The title of the engraving is "eridge castle, the seat of the right honourable earl of abergavenny, by whom the plate is presented". It is dated 1835. Date: 1835.
