Copied from the national archives' flickr album "7. Cultural demonstrations and solidarity events", photographs selected from "ntb's war archive - images of norwegians in sweden during the second world war": many worked diligently to promote norway's cause. Information was given and taught in swedish schools about norway and norwegian conditions, gatherings and cultural evenings were organized with lectures on norwegian history, literature, theater and music. The norwegian week exhibition, which was opened in stockholm in the spring of 1943 and then forwarded to gothenburg, gave a vivid picture of free and occupied norway. Norwegian-swedish friendship associations and humanitarian associations worked for good understanding between the countries, organized solidarity markings and public meetings and contributed material aid.
