Retato of general bartolomé miter. Digital reproduction on canvas. 134 x 100 cm. Czech ulpiano. 1906. Reproduction of the canvas that checa painted at the request of the miter family in 1906, after the death of the former president of the argentine republic. The original portrait (300 x 248 cm) is located in the miter museum in buenos aires (argentina). It is perhaps the best portrait he made in america, the only one equestrian and one of the most important of his entire production. In the foreground it represents the general on horseback dressed in the gala uniform, and in the background, more sketched, the battlefield which, without referring to a specific conflict, alludes to his military victories. Date: 1906.
