The photo shows infantry captain bolesław rutkowski - commander of the stage half-battalion of the polish legions headquarters in hulewicze. Bolesław rutkowski (born 1870, died 1916), a member of the rifle teams before world war i, joined the eastern legion after the outbreak of the war. In the fall of 1914, after the oath crisis in mszana dolna, he joined the 3rd infantry regiment of the polish legions. After the regiment was reorganized, he became the commander of the 4th company of the 1st battalion. From the fall of 1915, he commanded a company and then the stage half battalion of the polish legions headquarters in hulewicze.
