Portrait of j. M. White who was murdered by the apache indians. He wears a hat, laced pants, and many rings. He holds an indistinguishable object in his hand and he sits upon a wooden chair. Along the top of this daguerreotype there is faint writing which is reversed, indicating that it is a duplicate plate. The backwards, engraved writing reads: "j. M. White who was murdered by the apache indians. "title: j. M. White, murdered by the apache indians. Date: 1849.
