Bockenheim, new cemetery grave 9 - 14 ludwig family grave. Johann heinrich ludwig (* 1st september 1865 in bockenheim; † 12th march 1952 ibid[1]) was a german teacher and local historian. After training at the dillenburg teacher training college, he worked as a teacher at several schools in bockenheim from 1888 onwards. First at the bockenheim boys' elementary school, then at the francke school and finally at the kaufunger school, from which he retired as vice principal in 1930. In 1910 he had already self-published the book "alt-bockenheim in wort und bild" together with matthäus müller. After his retirement he spent almost ten years working on the fundamental, almost 400-page work "geschichte des dorfes und der stadt bockenheim". It was published in 1940 by dr. Waldemar kramer in frankfurt and is to date the most comprehensive work on this area, today the largest district of frankfurt am main.
